Bonjour

cela fait un moment que j'essaye d'installer DSL correctement sur mon vieux coucou de laptaupe.
J'ai DL la current.iso et j'ai vraiment eu du mal à faire l'install (beaucoup de pb hardware)...après avoir trouvé pas mal d'infos sur ce forum et le forum anglophone, j'y suis arrivé.

Donc je suis sur une HD Install, qui bizarrement boote d'origine avec "noacpi noapm noscsi nodma frugal"
la vidéo est "vga=788" (les joies du framebuffer).
ça boote de la même manière avec "vga=788 acpi=force noapm"
pas de messages d'erreurs au boot.
Tout semble fonctionner (enfin c'est très limité car je n'ai pas de carte réseau et le cd est plus ou moins HS -grosse galère pour l'install)...sauf le son et la carte qui doit être une cs4237b (souvenirs de w95).
Elle apparait dans le bios (upgradé en A16 pour l'occasion), mais pas dans lspci, et nulle part ailleurs.
J'ai essayé d'installer, en local package avec MyDSL, "ALSA-Drivers-1.0.11.dsl", mais je n'ai pas l'impression que cela ait fonctionné.
le seul message que j'ai vu est du genre "apm overridden by acpi", mais à priori c'est normal avec un bois qui doit tourner avec NT et 2K (n'est-ce pas?).
J'ai lu pas mal de threads à ce sujet, mais le plus souvent la carte apparaissait au moins avec lspci...

Je n'ai pas trop l'habitude de knoppix, j'ai un peu tâté Sabayon et Suse...

Auriez-vous quelques suggestions quand à la marche à suivre?
Devrais-je envisager l'acquisition d'un carte son pcmcia et laisser tomber la carte intégrée?

pour l'acpi c'est normal, apm est l'ancien acpi...
Tu devrais regarde dans dmesg si il y a une trace de ta carte son (ca donne les messages de boot...)

salut et merci de ton retour Arnaud.

Le problème avec dmesg c'est que je ne peux plus scroller vers le haut au delà d'un certain point, donc je rate le début du log.
Dans ce que je peux voir isapnp ne trouve aucune carte.
(il y a quand même cette erreur: kmod n'arrive pas à executer /sbin/modprobe -s -k pour l'adaptateur scsi -mais c'est normal vu que je n'ai rien en scsi).
Y a t'il un moyen de faire un "print to file" à partir de dmesg?

cela te parle-t'il?
(j'ai l'impression que mon DD apparait avec de mauvaises infos (alors que fdisk, avec lequel j'ai corrigé, affiche les bonnes entrées):
CHS=525/128/63 dans dmesg
alors que les bonnes valeurs sont: 4200/16/63 (Cyl/Heads/Secteur par piste).

et pas de trace de périph audio!??
